Paul Edward Perritt, 71, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Katy, Texas.
Born in Rawlins, Wyoming, on November 4, 1953 he was the son of James Perritt and Lois Ashford Perritt. Paul proudly served his community as a police officer with the Beaumont Police Department for an impressive 31 years. His commitment to public service and his unwavering sense of duty earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and citizens alike. Beyond his career, Paul had a zest for life that was infectious. He cherished the thrill of travelling and found great joy in embarking on cruises, always eager to explore new destinations and cultures. In addition to his love for travel, Paul enjoyed casino hopping, relishing the excitement that often accompanied these outings. However, his greatest joy came from his family, whom he adored above all else. Paul took immense pleasure in spending quality time with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to share in those moments. His love for his family was boundless, serving as a guiding light in his life. As we remember Paul Edward Perritt, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with adventure, service, and unwavering love for those closest to him. His legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Perritt; and his sister, Delores Keeland and husband, Bill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marilyn Perritt; his daughter, Ashley Thomason and husband, Eric; his son, James Perritt; his grandchildren, Anson Thomason, Claire Thomason, and Ethan Perritt; his sisters, Vonda Turner and husband, David, and Linda Worden; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
