Barry Nolan Britnell, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 62.

Barry was known for his kind heart, unwavering strength, and remarkable work ethic. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the safety industry, working across the United States and making countless friends wherever his travels took him. To know Barry was to know a man who valued hard work, loyalty, and genuine friendship.

He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, hunting, and riding his beloved Harley. Whether sharing stories around a campfire, enjoying the outdoors, or lending a helping hand, Barry had a way of making people feel welcomed and valued. His laughter was contagious, his friendship was sincere, and the memories he created with those around him will be treasured forever.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Hudson; his father, Dean Britnell; and his brother, Kenny Britnell.

He is survived by his brother, Rocky Hudson and wife, Brena, of Bridge City, Texas; his brother, Randy Britnell and wife, Lynn, of Mauriceville, Texas; and his brother, Ricky Britnell, of Orange, Texas. He is also survived by his stepfather, Dean Hudson and wife, Jamie, of Call, Texas; his aunt, Cheryl Linder, of Bridge City, Texas; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close and cherished friends whom he loved as family.

Barry’s life was a testament to friendship, perseverance, and love. The stories he shared, the adventures he embraced, and the kindness he extended to others touched countless lives. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial gathering celebrating Barry’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Claiborne West Park, 14810 Interstate 10, Vidor, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring a covered dish as they gather to share memories, laughter, and fellowship in Barry’s honor.
