Daren Lee Harrington

Daren Lee Harrington, 64, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Daren Lee Harrington was a simple soul. He loved big and always had jokes. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, but Jerry Jones was always catching a cussing. He loved to sing and would swear he “could have had a record deal like Tanya Tucker” in his words. He loved the beach, sitting outside with his dog, and loved his western shows. Daren lived his life with all kinds of adventures, he started in the construction field for many years and then decided he wanted to travel the world with the circus and loved every minute of it, and had many crazy stories to tell. He then decided he wanted to be the mouse at Chucky Cheese and of course he didn’t let them kids down, and then he went into carpenter work with his friend Tommy. Daren enjoyed his sweets, “that he would hide in his room” and he loved a home cooked meal. He loved his family big and never judged a soul. If Daren had $20, you were getting $10. He never held grudges and always showed love to everyone. Daren always said, “don’t sweat the small stuff.” He loved to brag on his nieces and nephews and would tell anyone who would listen. Daren always led a simple life but loved big, he enjoyed every second he could and never let anything bring him down. So be more like Daren, love big, don’t hold grudges, sing loud, give a hug, shake a hand, eat all the sweets you want, drink a beer, and live life to fullest with. NO regrets as Daren, a.k.a., Uncle D did.

He is survived by his mom, Sylvia Harrington; son, Aaron Campeaux; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brandi and Jarrod Barlow, Amanda and Robert Cantu, Dana and Bill Jordan, and Renee Harrington and Kelly; many awesome nieces and nephews that called him Uncle D; Trent Barlow and Kristina who were there for Daren whenever he needed anything; The Barlow and Jackson Families, Dustin and Kellie Barlow and Aletha and Curtis Jackson; and his best lil’ friend, his dog, Pepper.

He is preceded in passing by his brother, Allen Wayne Harrington; dad, Allen Joseph Harrington; nephew, Brenden Allen Joseph Barlow; his best friend, J Bird; and his aunt and uncle, Junior and Jean Molbert.

Condolences
