James Aaron Montano

James Aaron Montano, 48, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2026. Born on July 24, 1977, in Nederland, Texas, James touched countless lives with his warm spirit and gentle heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

James was a proud graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. He found great joy in attending concerts and lived life with a truly independent spirit. Those fortunate enough to know James often described him as an angel, and a truly one-of-a-kind individual. He was cherished for his kind, caring, loving, and giving nature, always striving to do no harm and leaving a positive mark on everyone he encountered.

James is lovingly remembered by his devoted parents, Jesse and Karla Montano; his sons, Jeremy Slaughter and Ty Montano; and his dear sister, Laura Thamaravelil. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. His warm presence and gentle heart will be profoundly missed by all.
