Jean McIntosh of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1948, in Galveston, Texas. Jean lived a life full of love and simple joys.
Jean worked as a clerk at IB Cheapers Liquor Store. She found happiness in the everyday moments, especially spending time with her family. Her grandkids and great grandbabies were her pride and joy. She always wanted to know what was happening in their lives and how everyone was doing. On her days off, you could often find her sitting on the porch, enjoying the peace of her surroundings.
Jean loved to crochet, creating little treasures with her hands, and she enjoyed watching her soaps, a favorite pastime that brought her comfort and relaxation.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly and her husband Allen Hammons, Jackie and her husband Johnny Goodwin, and Jaime and her husband Richard Gros. Her son Justin and his wife Amanda Broussard also carry on her legacy. Jean was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with two more on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Frank McCray.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian McCray, her brothers Billy McCray, John McCray, and George McCray, and her sister Janet Jones.
Jean McIntosh will be remembered for her caring heart and her quiet strength. She touched many lives with her kindness and her dedication to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.
