1940 ∼ 2026

Robert Joseph Sensat

Robert Joseph Sensat, our devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in his reclining chair at home after a brief illness. Robert was born to Pearl and Ivy Sensat on January 3, 1940 in Vinton, Louisiana.

Robert was a millwright at Dupont for over 30 years. He was a hard worker, who loved his job, playing jokes on his co-workers, and participating in cookouts at work. His true joy came from working the family land. He spent his retirement clearing the woods to make it accessible for all to enjoy. He was a devoted husband and father to all. He happily raised more children than just his own. He gave advice and mentored any young person near him, guiding them in his unique crazy ways! He enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and family, hosting numerous parties, helping others, and providing for everyone he loved. He was a huge presence in our community and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janie Clubb Sensat; daughter, Jana Sensat; his son Jason Sensat, daughter in law, Rana Sensat ; grandchildren Ashton Sensat and her husband Devin, Shelby Sensat, Justin Sensat, and Trevor Sensat; great grand daughter, Emberley Sensat, and honorary great grandchildren Skye, Everlynn, and Stetson Eaton.y great grandchildren Skye, Everlynn, and Stetson Eaton.

No funeral service will be had at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned for at a future time.
