Randolph Lee Miller

Randolph Lee Miller, a devoted servant of God and country, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, in Beaumont, TX, at the age of 73. Randy was born in Richmond, Virginia and dedicated his life to caring for others and spreading faith.

Randy proudly served his nation in the United States Army 3rd Infantry Division being stationed in Germany. Like many men at that time, he worked in the refineries and later worked 10 years at Lifeway Christian Bookstore. He continued his calling as a spiritual leader, graduating from Wisdom Bible Institute in Orange, TX, and going on to serve as a compassionate Chaplain at Harbor Hospice. He also touched many lives as the beloved Pastor at Church on the Rock in Sour Lake, where his guidance and wisdom were cherished by his congregation for 21 years.

Anyone who knew Randy was touched by his life through his wise counsel, his ministry, his prayers, his compassion and friendship. His answer for any situation would always be "What does the Word say?"

His influence on lives reaches farther than he could have ever imagined. He carried himself with the goal of one day hearing "Well done good and faithful servant."

He is survived by his loving wife, Emmie Miller; his daughters, Tiffany Doyen of Beaumont, TX, and Tamara Cerda of Vidor, TX; and his son, Trey Hamilton of Port Acres, TX. Randy also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Ellen Stutzenbaker of Port Acres, TX. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Joan Piercy of Mechanicsville, VA, Robin Outhouse of Port Neches, TX, and Rose Cleland of Corrigan, TX, and his aunt, Dee Lovelace of Douglasville, GA. His memory will be cherished by his granddaughter, Rebecca Doyen of Honolulu, Hawaii, and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Baird Outhouse; his stepfather, Stanley Outhouse; and his twin brother, Ray S. Miller.

A memorial service to honor Randy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Golden Triangle Church On The Rock located at 6355 US 69 Beaumont, Texas, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Randy's legacy of faith, service, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.

Condolences to the Emmie and the Miller family. It was a pleasure going to church with Randy & Emmie. I also had the chance to work with Randy, and he was a good Spiritual Counselor. Prayers for the Miller family

I remember his truthfulness and compassion. He would talk with me often. He was my brother-in-law’s roommate before he was my brother in law. I loved his service to our country.

Prayers for all his family. I know he is immensely missed. 40 years or so ago Randy gave me a Thompson Chain Reference Bible that I have treasured ever since. We lost touch after I moved many years ago. But I remember his cheerfulness & his love for God & people. It used to tickle me that when some unexpected & unwanted obstacle might occasionally pop up, the first words out of Randy's mouth were "Bless God!". By all accounts he was genuinely a great man & everything a Christian should be. His memory inspires me to do everything I can to follow his example.

My husband (now ex) and I were close friends with Randy many years ago when we wete young and all lived in the Port Arthur area. We lost touch after we moved to Dallas. I am not surprised to read of the life he lived - he was a wonderful, funny, loving and God-centered man even then. I am sorry for those loved ones he left behind, but so comforted to know he is now in the presence of our Creator. ❤️

A happier or more loving man of God we have never known. Pastor and Emmie have prayed us through many trials in our life, and have helped us make sure our children know the Lord. He was always there with a kind smile and warm embrace to show the love of the father. He made you feel special and loved. We shared lots of time with our Pastor over the last 20 some odd years and look forward to seeing him again.

From young to adult pastor Randy was a pillar in life. Advice, tough love, godly wisdom, and just great memories. Are just a few things he brought into not just my life but many others as he was easy to talk To and always ready to speak the word into any situation he could. Blessed to have known him, honored to call him a friend, grateful to have been in his flock as he would call us. Prayers for his family

Greatest faithful servant for Jesus. Leaving a legacy of laughter, kindness and generosity that will never be fully revealed until we all get together again. Blessed to have known the family and worship with them all. Until we meet again Pastor.
